Raffles Hotels & Resorts confirmed on Monday that it will launch The Little Shop by Raffles, its first global e-commerce platform, built on a bespoke collection developed with stylist Jessica Diehl and more than ten heritage brand collaborations. The move takes the Accor-owned hospitality group into direct-to-consumer luxury retail for the first time.
The assortment spans apparel, resortwear and activewear, all built around the banner's signature palm print and deep green palette. Confirmed licensing and collaboration partners include Frette slippers, Christofle coffee cups, Globe-Trotter carry-on cases, Orlebar Brown swim trunks, Vanessa Sposi swimwear, Amambaih bags, Z Lab sleep masks, Smythson leather goods and Ginori 1735 tableware.
What does the platform actually sell?
The core collection carries the brand's service codes into product. It includes separates bearing the phrase "The Butler Did It," crest-adorned cashmere, palm-print pajamas and hats, and a resort edit of caftans in the Raffles print. Each piece ships with a personal note from the Raffles Butler, a detail designed to extend the hotel relationship beyond checkout.
"The Little Shop by Raffles is a natural expression of who we have always been as a brand," said Raffles Resorts & Hotels chief brand officer Claudia Kozma Kaplan. She added that each piece was envisaged to extend the travel experience long after a stay has ended.
How does digital connect to physical retail?
The name revives the original Little Shop, which opened at Raffles Singapore in the 1940s. Select pieces will also be stocked at three flagship properties: Raffles London at The OWO, Raffles Boston and Le Royal Monceau — Raffles Paris. The London hotel will add a dedicated boutique, giving the platform a permanent physical anchor.
The distribution footprint matters for scale. Raffles Hotels, Resorts and Residences, founded in Singapore in 1887, operates landmark properties in Singapore, Paris, London, Boston, Istanbul, Dubai, Jaipur, Phnom Penh and Bali. Parent company Accor runs more than 5,800 properties across more than 110 countries, a network that could supply future cross-selling capacity for the retail arm.
Is hospitality retail a growing channel?
The Raffles launch lands amid a measurable rise in hotel-luxury brand tie-ups. In September, U.K. chain The Hoxton partnered with Los Angeles-based artist Michael McGregor on a limited-edition, seven-piece capsule collection.
The Dominick in SoHo — the only New York hotel holding an AAA Five Diamond designation — partnered with jeweler Alexis Bittar this year to place custom jewelry boxes in guest rooms for an additional fee. Hartmann, America's oldest premium luggage brand, marked the U.S. semiquincentennial with The Beatrice in Providence, whose "Rhode to Everywhere" summer package featured women's bestsellers from Hartmann's Reserve collection. W Florence worked with local designer Domenico Orefice on a tanned-leather bag with a woven intrecciato handle, offered to overnight guests to use during their stay and keep.
For vendors and licensors in the Frette-to-Smythson tier, the Raffles model signals a widening hospitality channel: branded product programs that convert hotel guests into repeat e-commerce customers. The platform's first-season performance will show whether a service-led brand can carry a global retail operation.
