Aldo’s Zuhair Murad capsule prices footwear at $200-$300, handbags at $140-$180 and accessories at $40-$125. The Canadian footwear and accessories brand revealed the collection Monday, calling it its first collaboration with a couture house and placing the label across four product categories.
The collection is available now at Aldo stores and on the retailer’s website. That confirms a live retail program, not a preliminary collaboration announcement. The release does not disclose unit volumes, distribution by market or a staged rollout timetable.
Which products anchor the collection?
The range centers on two signature footwear silhouettes. One is an open-toe platform sandal with a slim ankle strap and a sculptural block heel. The other is a pointed-toe slingback pump with a slender heel and refined strap detail.
Glitter finishes, metallic gold tones and snakeskin-inspired textures give the footwear what Aldo described as a distinct couture aesthetic, while evening bags use bold hardware. Jewelry and eyewear add polished metals and star-inspired motifs.
Aldo presents those treatments as the collection’s defining visual language. The statement sets out design intent, not measured customer response or sell-through.
What do the retail bands establish?\n
Shoes carry the top retail band at $200-$300. Handbags sit at $140-$180, and accessories cover $40-$125. At $300, the highest footwear price is more than twice the $140 starting handbag price.
The release gives no discount calendar, wholesale terms or margin data. Those omissions leave unit economics and any wider channel rollout unquantified. The announcement identifies no channel beyond Aldo stores and its website.
Those figures establish retail price bands, not production costs. No sourcing country or materials list accompanies them, leaving compliance review and landed-cost analysis outside the public brief.
What did the brands say?
Amanda Amar, vice president of brand strategy, public relations and social at Aldo, reiterated that the Zuhair Murad partnership was Aldo’s first collaboration of its kind:
“The privilege of collaborating with the house and Mr. Murad is a defining moment for Aldo. Zuhair Murad’s impact not just in couture but in the luxury fashion ecosystem as a whole, allowed us to create a collection that honors the signature, visual expressions of the house while staying true to the essence of Aldo.”
Designer Zuhair Murad said:
“I wanted to mix the spirit of couture with versatility, and wearability. Partnering with Aldo, a brand with a global footprint, presented an opportunity to bring the refinement of our house to a wider audience. Every design was created to inspire sophistication, allowing more people to experience the craftsmanship, glamour, and artistry that define Zuhair Murad.”
Which supply-chain details remain unconfirmed?
The retail launch is confirmed; manufacturing scale is not. With no factory or vendor named, buyers cannot assess where the collection was made, what capacity supports it, whether materials carry required certifications, or how quickly a reorder can be fulfilled.
The announcement also omits order volume, royalty or license-fee structure, production-cost allocation and payment responsibilities. That leaves Aldo’s global reach as a distribution argument rather than a measured sales result. No unit sales, store traffic, sell-through or reorders are disclosed, so Murad’s wider-audience ambition has no reported commercial result.
Future reorder decisions will depend on store and online sell-through, volume commitments and confirmed production terms, none of which the launch announcement currently provides.
