Tecovas will launch a limited-edition collaboration with Anine Bing on November 5, with eight pieces retailing between $180 and $525 across both brands' e-commerce sites and select retail doors. The Austin-based Western footwear brand and the Los Angeles-based fashion label confirmed the deal on Wednesday.

The collection centers on updated versions of two of Tecovas' bestselling women's silhouettes, the Loretta and the Jamie. Both boots use goat leather and carry hand construction with hung leather linings — a manufacturing detail that signals the collaboration targets the premium tier of the Western category rather than entry-level volume.

What does the collection include?

  • Loretta boot: a 17-inch shaft with embroidery and star inlays, a collaborative star-motif toecap, a polished goat-leather finish and a French-seamed topline.
  • Jamie boot: a round-toe classic with an 11-inch shaft, signature eight-row stitching, star embroidery across the shaft, an exclusive Anine Bing star toe bug and a French-seamed topline.
  • Accessories: two cowboy hat styles and two belt designs, including the Plaque Buckle Belt — a U.S.-exclusive style made in Mexico from genuine cowhide leather, cut in a 1-ply, 1.5-inch width, with antique nickel hardware and an engraved plaque buckle.

Who is behind the deal?

Samantha Fodrowski, senior vice president of brand marketing at Tecovas, said the brand has "admired" Anine Bing for a long time. "Western has become part of how people get dressed every day, far beyond the West, and few brands understand modern wardrobe essentials like Anine Bing does," Fodrowski said.

Julie Bourgeois, chief executive officer of Anine Bing, said the company has "always been drawn to brands with a strong point of view and a genuine sense of identity." "What I love about Tecovas is its authenticity, its craftsmanship, and the way it stays true to its Western roots," Bourgeois said.

Why does the channel strategy matter?

Distribution runs through Tecovas.com and Aninebing.com plus select retail locations, giving each brand access to the other's customer base without adding wholesale intermediaries. The U.S.-exclusive status of the Plaque Buckle Belt, produced in Mexico, shows a deliberate regional carve-out within an otherwise dual-branded assortment.

The limited-edition framing and the $525 ceiling on pricing position the collection as a scarcity-driven traffic play rather than a core volume line. Executives framed the partnership as a meeting of two brand identities rather than a licensing arrangement; no terms, minimum order volumes or duration of the partnership were disclosed.

For sourcing professionals, the details worth noting are the handcrafted construction, the Mexican production of the belt program, and the goat-leather specification on both boot styles. Whether the collaboration extends beyond this eight-piece drop will depend on sell-through after the November 5 launch.
