Thermore has secured Patagonia as an insulation customer, supplying its recycled EVOdown fill across all five styles in the brand's new Heyes Peak collection, the Milan-based insulation supplier announced October 6, 2026.
The collection — new this year — spans five men's and women's styles, including a jacket, parka, hoody and 3-in-1 parka, positioned for transitional-season daily wear rather than extreme-cold performance.
For sourcing teams, the build specs are the story. The anchor Heyes Peak Jacket pairs 80 gr/m2 EVOdown insulation with a 1.2-oz, 20-denier NetPlus ripstop shell made from 100% postconsumer recycled nylon derived from fishing nets. The shell carries a DWR finish produced without intentionally added PFAS. All styles in the collection are manufactured in a Fair Trade Certified factory.
What is in the fill?
Thermore EVOdown is a synthetic insulation made from fibers 100% recycled from PET bottles, engineered to replicate the soft hand feel and loft of down while retaining the easy care and consistent performance of synthetic fill. The product carries three certifications relevant to vendor qualification:
- OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100
- Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
- bluesign approval
That certification stack matters for brands consolidating suppliers around verified recycled content and chemical compliance. Patagonia's supplier vetting on sustainability criteria is widely regarded as among the strictest in the outdoor sector, and the deal signals Thermore cleared that bar at volume across a multi-style program rather than a single capsule.
What did the partners say?
"This launch reflects exactly what we set out to do at Thermore: prove that high-performance insulation and genuine environmental responsibility aren't a trade-off," said Laura Beachy, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications at Thermore. She added that EVOdown gives Patagonia "a fill that meets their sustainability standards across five styles without asking them to compromise on warmth or comfort."
Joe DiGirolamo, Director of Sales at Thermore, framed the commercial significance: "Patagonia is a brand that holds itself, and its supply chain, to a high bar on sustainability, so being chosen as their insulation partner across a five-style men's and women's collection says a lot about where Thermore stands in this space."
On the brand side, Mark Little, Senior Business Unit Director for Lifestyle Essentials + Graphics at Patagonia, said the fill "gave us an opportunity to deliver dependable warmth, softness, and durability in the Heyes Peak collection while incorporating North Star materials throughout the system."
Confirmed versus claimed
The confirmed facts: the partnership, the five-style scope, the 80 gr/m2 fill weight on the anchor jacket, the NetPlus recycled-nylon shell construction, the PFAS-conscious DWR finish, the Fair Trade Certified factory production and the three third-party certifications on the insulation.
The claims to watch: Thermore and Patagonia both assert strong retail and consumer response ahead — DiGirolamo said he is "confident retailers and consumers alike will respond" — but no sell-in or sell-through data accompanies the launch announcement.
The announcement continues Thermore's positioning in recycled synthetic insulation as brands face tightening PFAS restrictions and rising scrutiny of down supply chains. Whether the Patagonia program expands beyond five styles will be the marker to track in future season lineups.
