- George brings more than 40 years of executive experience, including 34 years as CFO and 27 years as a public-company CFO.
- David Pace joins the board after almost two decades at Reebok, where he helped develop exclusive NFL and NBA licensing agreements.

Oofos named Scott Schiffres as chief financial officer this week, retaining interim CFO Tom George on its board and audit committee and adding former Reebok executive David Pace as a director.
The recovery footwear company did not disclose an effective date, financial targets, sourcing changes, capacity plans or vendor terms. Schiffres succeeds George, who has served as interim CFO, after Angel Martinez joined as co-chief executive officer in October 2025.
What does Schiffres bring to finance?
Schiffres joins from Tea Forté, part of Keurig/JDE Peet’s, where he served as CFO and interim general manager. Earlier, he held CFO and senior finance leadership roles at Heineken, and served as CFO and chief operating officer of Unreal Candy. He began his career at Unilever.
Schiffres said he was most energized by working for brands he believed in, that Oofos resonated with him as both an executive and a consumer, and that he was excited to join the team and help build on the opportunity ahead. The statement contained no revenue guidance, margin forecast or capital-allocation plan.
How do George and Pace change the board?
George brings more than 40 years of executive experience, including 34 years as a CFO and 27 years as a CFO of a public company. He held leadership roles at Oakley, Deckers Brands and Genesco, where he gained experience in global brands, multi-channel growth and public-company financial management.
Pace adds more than 35 years of consumer and sports industry experience, including almost two decades at Reebok. He served as senior vice president and general counsel and previously led sports marketing. During his tenure, he helped develop Reebok’s global brand strategy and major initiatives.
That work included the company’s exclusive NFL and NBA licensing agreements, creation of its sports licensing business and the merger with Adidas. The announcement links Pace to historical licensing experience rather than a new agreement involving Oofos, and it identifies no transaction, partner or commercial term.
After Reebok, Pace founded Pace Sports LLC, which advises consumer brands and sports organizations on brand partnerships, acquisitions, licensing and business development. Its advising roster has included Oofos, the NFL, Tommy Bahama and Ugg.
Co-founder and co-chief executive officer Lou Panaccione said Schiffres, George and Pace each bring a unique perspective and depth of experience that will strengthen the firm’s leadership team and board.
He added: “Their expertise across consumer brands, finance, footwear, sports and business development will be incredibly valuable as we continue to build Oofos for the future while staying true to what makes our brand and product unique.”
Co-chief executive officer Angel Martinez, who joined the company in October 2025, said drawing on the collective expertise of Schiffres, George and Pace would help Oofos drive sustainable, long-term growth.
He added: “As consumer interest in recovery, wellness and everyday comfort continues to grow, we see tremendous opportunity to introduce more people to Oofos and expand the role our products play in their lives.”
Oofos supplied no consumer research, order data or revenue forecast to quantify that opportunity, and the announcement named no new licensing deal, acquisition, capacity addition or supply-chain commitment.
What remains undisclosed?
For brand, sourcing and channel teams, the unresolved questions concern cost control, vendor commitments, operating targets and the board’s role in licensing or acquisition decisions. The announcement did not address those questions, specify Schiffres’s start date or set a timetable for a finance transition.
Looking ahead, the practical test is whether Oofos converts the board’s licensing, finance and business-development experience into disclosed financial targets, partnership commitments and operating milestones.
