Hoka will release a $275 Marni-co-branded Clifton 11 on Nov. 12, the second collaboration between the two brands in seven months and the first to touch Hoka's core volume franchise. The launch sequence is split by channel: Marni.com and Marni stores worldwide get the shoe first, followed by Hoka.com and select global retailers on Nov. 13. That one-day window gives Marni's direct channel first access before Hoka's own DTC and wholesale doors open.
What exactly is shipping?
The Clifton Marni arrives in three colorways: Orange, White and Black. The build stays close to the base model: engineered mesh upper, compression-molded EVA foam midsole, Hoka's MetaRocker geometry and its rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame (a heel-cradling construction intended to stabilize the foot inside the shoe). Marni's contribution is cosmetic rather than structural. It includes a custom plaid sockliner, metal lace dubrae (a small ornamental tag on the laces), reflective details, and 3D-printed silicone logos from each brand placed on opposite sides of the shoe.
No production volumes, factory information or allocation figures were disclosed. A $275 price point sits well above the standard Clifton line and signals a limited, margin-driven drop rather than a volume play. Whether Marni's one-day channel exclusivity translates into sell-through data remains to be seen; neither company published targets.
What did the partners say?
Thomas Cykana, senior director of global collaborations and partnerships at Hoka, said the company is "eager to keep momentum strong" with Marni. He added: "Together, we explore a world where the marathon of life is celebrated in a way that only Hoka and Marni can."
Cykana also praised Marni creative director Meryll Rogge, saying Hoka appreciates "the sophisticated way in which Meryll has pushed the brand forward while leaning into the label's most signature cues." The statements are marketing language, not commitments. They confirm continuity of the partnership but say nothing about duration, future silhouettes or minimum order guarantees.
How is the launch being marketed?
The brands debuted a joint campaign, "Every Day Is a Marathon," positioning the shoe around everyday movement — offices, studios and city streets — rather than competitive running. The campaign blends Hoka's comfort and performance messaging with Marni's personal-style angle, an attempt to pull luxury consumers into a performance-footwear product.
What is the commercial backdrop?
The first Hoka x Marni project landed in April 2025 and reworked the Bondi B3LS silhouette, with rubberized, lightly padded polyester uppers as the distinguishing feature. Moving from Bondi, a fashion-forward model, to Clifton — described by Hoka as one of its bestselling sneakers — marks a deliberate escalation onto higher-volume territory for the Italian label.
Parent Deckers Brands reported second-quarter results last month that frame the timing. Net sales rose 3.5% to $1.48 billion from $1.43 billion a year earlier. Net income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 climbed 16.8% to $313.1 million, or $2.31 a diluted share, from $268.2 million, or $1.82 a diluted share. Hoka itself posted $677.2 million in quarterly net sales, up 6.8% from $634.1 million.
Those are solid but decelerating numbers for a brand that grew at double-digit rates in prior cycles. A luxury collaboration at a $275 price point is a low-capital way to test pricing power and channel reach while broader growth cools.
What remains unconfirmed?
Several commercial questions stay open. Neither brand stated the size of the production run, the split between Marni and Hoka channels, or whether the deal extends beyond this drop. Retail distribution beyond "select global retailers" is unspecified. The Nov. 12-13 launch will provide the first hard evidence of demand; a third collaboration would provide the second.
