- A second store in Mumbai is planned but not yet opened; no address or date disclosed
- The Delhi store stocks men's and women's activewear including leggings, joggers, pants, shorts and sports bras
Fabletics has opened its first store in India at DLF Promenade in New Delhi, entering the market through a partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL). The move marks the activewear brand's debut in Indian physical retail, with a second store already planned for Mumbai.
The Delhi location carries Fabletics' activewear range for men and women. The assortment includes leggings, joggers, pants, shorts and sports bras — core performance categories that anchor the label's offering in its established markets.
The structure of the entry matters as much as the store itself. Fabletics has chosen a licensing-style partnership with Reliance Brands Limited rather than a direct-owned rollout, the same route many Western apparel and lifestyle labels have used to enter India, where foreign single-brand retail rules and real-estate dynamics favour an established local operator. RBL, the retail arm that manages numerous international brand partnerships in India, takes on the market-side execution: site selection, mall relationships and local retail operations.
For Fabletics, the partnership shifts the capital burden of Indian expansion onto an operator with an existing footprint, shortening the path from announcement to trading store. For RBL, the deal adds an activewear name to a portfolio that spans multiple international fashion and lifestyle brands, at a time when India's activewear category continues to draw global entrants.
The commercial facts, as confirmed: the first store is open and trading at DLF Promenade, one of Delhi's premium malls; the product range on the floor covers men's and women's performance basics; and a Mumbai store is in the plan. The Mumbai location remains an announced intention rather than an opened door — the company has not yet specified an address or an opening date.
What the announcement does not yet include is equally relevant for sourcing and supply-chain readers. Fabletics has not disclosed the number of stores targeted for India, a timeline beyond the Mumbai location, or the sourcing model that will serve the market — whether goods will be imported from the brand's existing supplier base or produced closer to the customer. India's import duties on ready-made garments make that decision material to price positioning, and local production, if pursued, would carry its own vendor-development and compliance timeline.
Pricing strategy for the Indian range also remains unconfirmed. Fabletics built its business in the US on a membership model paired with accessible price points; whether that model transfers to the Indian market, or whether RBL positions the brand at full-price premium retail, will shape which consumer segment the stores actually capture.
The opened Delhi store is a measured, single-door start backed by a proven local partner — a low-risk structure common to international entries of this kind. The pace from here depends on how the DLF Promenade location performs and how quickly the planned Mumbai store converts from announcement to opening, the first concrete signals of whether Fabletics' India push becomes a scaled retail operation or stays a two-store presence.
